Jan Van Reenen- Power To Create Wealth
Sunday Nov 10, 2019
Sunday Nov 10, 2019
Jan van Reenen had it on his heart to do a study and subsequently publish a book on the Power to Create Wealth. We believe it presents a Biblical blueprint to abundant life which can break the cycle of poverty over people, families, communities and perhaps even our nation. We also believe that the truth it shares should be accessible to all people, especially so in our beloved country.

Jan Van Reenen- Fearless Courage
Sunday Nov 10, 2019
Sunday Nov 10, 2019
Jan van Reenan explained how he used to think of the gift of encouragement as a “lower class gift” until he needing encouraging, he then realised the value and importance of Godly encouragement. When the devil accuses us we need the Holy Spirit to comfort and encourage us, to remind us of who we are in Christ. Jan used the story of Gideon from Judges 6 to encourage us. The voice we listen to will forge our identity. Gideon thought he was the brunt of the litter - he had been told this all his life. God is upgrading your identity to prepare you for a new level of authority.

Sunday Nov 03, 2019
Sunday Nov 03, 2019
Often we look for the answer to our needs from God but miss the fact that its about the journey with Him. Coenraad Dormehl explains how he has learnt to pray through the Psalms in good times and bad, expanding on Psalm 46. We were encouraged to life alive of long obedience, to run the marathon well and keep on going. We are encouraged to run with Jesus and to run to Him in times of trouble, to remain connected in the church, guard our hearts and to forgive quickly.

Darryl Reid- Jesus At The Centre
Sunday Oct 27, 2019
Sunday Oct 27, 2019
Darryl Reid encourages us to seek Jesus and not just his benefits and rewards. Luke 15:19-31 tells the story of The Parable of the Lost Son, or better titled the story of the extravagant Father. We are all familiar with the story of the youngest son, he took his inheritance, left the Father and sought after self-satisfaction. The older son however has a similar heart to the younger son. The younger son got what he wanted by rebellious behaviour, the older son tried to get what he wanted by his good works. Neither valued relationship with the Father, they both sought after what they could get from the Father, neglecting relationship. Father responds to the older son in Luke 19 vs 31, ‘My son, the father said, you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.' Jesus is encouraging us to repent of any behaviour in our lives that doesn’t have Him at the centre. He wants intimate relationship with us!

Grant Clifton- Pioneering People
Sunday Oct 20, 2019
Sunday Oct 20, 2019
Grant Clifton shares some insights on how much he learnt from BLC and how much change he is already implementing in Richards Bay from what he learnt at BLC. He encouraged us to not become complacent, but to be intentional in celebrating what God is doing, may the supernatural never become so normal that we don’t celebrate it. We are a pioneering people at BLC, a pioneering people are a people of his presence who break things open for others to follow after. Often times however pioneering is not easy. In this episode he shares on Galatians 6, which has a number of “me” and “us” guidelines: Paul instructs us corporately and individually - he talks about what I need to do and what we need to do

Moss Nthla- Being Strong In The Lord
Sunday Oct 13, 2019
Sunday Oct 13, 2019
Paul writes to the church in Ephesus instructing them to be strong in the Lord, Ephesians 6 vs 10 says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” Moss Nthla, who heads up TEASA - The Evangelical Alliance of South Africa, brings an encouraging and challenging word on being strong in the Lord. So much in our culture and society is structured to weaken us. Our houses are designed around Televisions where we allow complete strangers to address us and shape our culture. We spend hours at work chasing dreams and money which limits our available time to spend with the Lord. Too often when we are weak we make decisions that enhance our weakness, we stay away from church and community, we try to do things in our own strength, we rely on our natural comforts. God doesn’t need a Goliath to kill a Goliath, he needs a David who is strong in the Lord.

Les Mitchell- The Fear Of The Lord Part II
Sunday Oct 06, 2019
Sunday Oct 06, 2019
Les Mitchell, continues his theme of walking in the fear of the Lord and encourages us that the purpose for which we were saved, is to transform the world we live in. By being the salt and light (Matt 5:13) and living in the fear of the Lord which is to obey Jesus, because we love Him (John 14:15) and to walk carefully every day, not conforming to the standards of the world around us. Referring again to the Israelites journey through the wilderness, Les shares that if they had encountered God in all His holiness and glory on the mountain, they would not have so easily slid into idolatry – so we too need a revelation of who God truly is, so that we will not treat him with familiarity or the wrong kind of fear - we are called for a great purpose – revival leading to reformation. Transformed by the transformer every day!

Les Mitchell- The Fear Of The Lord
Friday Sep 27, 2019
Friday Sep 27, 2019
Proverbs 1:7 :”the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge”. This episode by Les Mitchell, is a wake up call to recognize the spirit of lawlessness rampant on the planet today and even in the church. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 is a description of what is happening. When God told Pharaoh to “let my people go” the purpose was to worship Him in the wilderness - the promised land was secondary. However in Exodus we see that the people, once released from slavery in Egypt, didn’t want to meet God face to face. They sent Moses instead and missed the opportunity to encounter God in all His glory and holiness - to discover who He truly is. Instead they created a golden calf which they worshiped because sin causes us to fear God in the wrong way. Likewise, the primary reason Jesus came was to save us from our sins and to restore us to sonship. Every other blessing is a bonus, not a right!
When we fear man more than God, we are more concerned about people’s opinions of us, rather than what God thinks of our behaviour.

Les Mitchell- Servanthood In The Kingdom
Sunday Sep 22, 2019
Sunday Sep 22, 2019
Les Mitchell shares about servanthood in the Kingdom of God. He reminds us of how when he first met Jesus, we also started loving people for the first time in our lives and no act of service was too much trouble. However, as our ‘first love’ fades, so does our focus change back to ourselves. We start resenting every demand on our time or resources or skills - we need to stop & realise that our eyes are no longer fixed on Jesus who said that He came not to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for mankind. We look at Phil. 2:5-9 - a description of Jesus' life of humility in even obeying his parents who He had actually created! He never pulled rank or lorded it over anyone even though He was God. Paul says “in your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus”.
