Be encouraged this week with this message by John Crumpton. On Sundays we come together for a celebration service. We enjoy passionate worship as we freely and fully enter in God's Presence as the Holy Spirit leads us. The Word of God is preached in such a way as to not only hear, but also consider, act on or commit to act on the message.

Darryl Reid- Rooted in Peace

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 28:11. 

Maintaining peace when we have no margins in life, especially in our time today, when we are running from one thing to the next and with all of life's distractions, can be extremely challenging. May this message by Darryl Reid challenge & encourage you to remain Rooted in Peace even when life gets busy.

Simon Lerefolo- A City On A Hill

"You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden"- Matthew 5:14. Our guest speaker, Simon Lerefolo from Every Nation Rosebank, reminded us that the church of Jesus Christ is strong, is visible & is rising up. We are encouraged as the bride of Jesus Christ to show up and see how South Africa will never be the same- when the church if Jesus Christ begins to rise, you cannot believe what God can do.

Patrick Jearey- Guest Speaker

Patrick Jearey is passionate about the gospel of Jesus and shares on Ephesians 2 and being made alive in Christ, in 3 points-  "Who you were", "Who you are" and "How you became who you are."

Darryl Reid- The Road Called Peace

Peace is not a circumstance it is a state of being. Darryl Reid shares on the journey from a "Worrier to a Warrior, The Road Called Peace". There were 7 stops along the journey: Kingdom, God is Peace, Peace is a gift for us, Peace is a Foundation for Faith, Peace the Soldier, The Exchange & Peace the Umpire. "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15 NIV

 

Jan Van Reenen- Power To Create Wealth

Jan van Reenen had it on his heart to do a study and subsequently publish a book on the Power to Create Wealth. We believe it presents a Biblical blueprint to abundant life which can break the cycle of poverty over people, families, communities and perhaps even our nation. We also believe that the truth it shares should be accessible to all people, especially so in our beloved country.

Jan Van Reenen- Fearless Courage

Jan van Reenan explained how he used to think of the gift of encouragement as a “lower class gift” until he needing encouraging, he then realised the value and importance of Godly encouragement. When the devil accuses us we need the Holy Spirit to comfort and encourage us, to remind us of who we are in Christ. Jan used the story of Gideon from Judges 6 to encourage us. The voice we listen to will forge our identity. Gideon thought he was the brunt of the litter - he had been told this all his life. God is upgrading your identity to prepare you for a new level of authority.

Coenraad Dormehl- Psalm 46

Often we look for the answer to our needs from God but miss the fact that its about the journey with Him. Coenraad Dormehl explains how he has learnt to pray through the Psalms in good times and bad, expanding on Psalm 46. We were encouraged to life alive of long obedience, to run the marathon well and keep on going. We are encouraged to run with Jesus and to run to Him in times of trouble, to remain connected in the church, guard our hearts and to forgive quickly.

Darryl Reid- Jesus At The Centre

Darryl Reid encourages us to seek Jesus and not just his benefits and rewards. Luke 15:19-31 tells the story of The Parable of the Lost Son, or better titled the story of the extravagant Father. We are all familiar with the story of the youngest son, he took his inheritance, left the Father and sought after self-satisfaction. The older son however has a similar heart to the younger son. The younger son got what he wanted by rebellious behaviour, the older son tried to get what he wanted by his good works. Neither valued relationship with the Father, they both sought after what they could get from the Father, neglecting relationship. Father responds to the older son in Luke 19 vs 31, ‘My son, the father said, you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.' Jesus is encouraging us to repent of any behaviour in our lives that doesn’t have Him at the centre. He wants intimate relationship with us!

Grant Clifton- Pioneering People

Grant Clifton shares some insights on how much he learnt from BLC and how much change he is already implementing in Richards Bay from what he learnt at BLC. He encouraged us to not become complacent, but to be intentional in celebrating what God is doing, may the supernatural never become so normal that we don’t celebrate it. We are a pioneering people at BLC, a pioneering people are a people of his presence who break things open for others to follow after. Often times however pioneering is not easy. In this episode he shares on Galatians 6, which has a number of “me” and “us” guidelines: Paul instructs us corporately and individually - he talks about what I need to do and what we need to do
